Some Longreads

Hey y’all.

Feel like I’m writing a letter to friends as opposed to my normal Tumblring duties over at the Cheat Sheet (which I LOVE!). Wanted to point out 2 longer political pieces I finally caught up on at the end of this week on Instapaper. (Is it in poor taste to discuss politics on personal tumblrs, as it is at a family get-together?) I saw them as solid pieces of journalism (says the guy who’s updated a tumblr called Blake Lively Doing Things in the same week). 

• Ryan Lizza on The Obama Memos in The New Yorker and
• Robert Kagan on the Myth of American Decline in TNR(from Jan 11th. No Single Page View, so I actually bought the magazine!) 

So, you know, if you’re looking for some Obama Hope this weekend.
